Downey had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Turlock Bulldogs 29-26. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 33-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Elias Haynes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also catching two scores. Another player making a difference was Owen Sacuskie, who rushed for 86 yards on only seven carries.

Downey's record now sits at 6-3. As for Turlock, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Downey will square off against Enochs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Turlock, they will host Modesto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
