Basketball Game Preview: Tallmadge Blue Devils vs. Copley Indians

Tallmadge and Copley are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Tallmadge Blue Devils will challenge the Copley Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Tallmadge is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering North Royalton just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 64-55 to the Bears.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Copley). They walked away with an 84-75 win over Woodridge on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tallmadge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Copley, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Everything came up roses for Tallmadge against Copley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 79-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tallmadge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
