Baseball Recap: Winterboro Takes a Loss

Winterboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 11-8 to the Ohatchee Indians.

Kevin Mckenzie and Khemani Robinson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mckenzie went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Robinson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Robinson has become a key player for Winterboro: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was William Shepherd, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Winterboro's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Ohatchee, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15.

As of now, neither Winterboro nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
