Baseball Recap: West Allegheny Comes Up Short

West Allegheny's last matchup with Pine-Richland could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Indians came up short against the Rams, falling 12-2. It was the first time this season that the Indians let down their fans at home.

West Allegheny is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Pine-Richland, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

West Allegheny and Pine-Richland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Indians (ranked 156th) will meet New Castle (ranked 354th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pine-Richland will square off against Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (4 vs. 60). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 2, the Golden Tornado 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
