Basketball Game Preview: Hoke County Bucks vs. Riverside Christian Academy Royals

The Hoke County Bucks will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Riverside Christian Academy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hoke County is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Ascend Leadership. The Bucks took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 64-27 win over the Aviators. The Bucks not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since December 26, 2024 (when they won 57-14).

Meanwhile, Riverside Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 51-33 victory over Alpha Academy.

Riverside Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Brelyn Miller, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten steals. The game was Miller's third in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Amirah Cooper, who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Riverside Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alpha Academy only posted one.
