Pearsall had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Gonzales Apaches 62-40 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mavericks have posted since December 13, 2024.

Xavier Rendon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 14 boards. What's more, he also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Jeremy Rodriguez was another key player, putting up 18 points and six steals.

Pearsall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Pearsall's victory bumped their record up to 24-10. As for Gonzales, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-18.

Looking ahead, Pearsall will head out on the road to take on Lago Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lago Vista will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Pearsall surely won't give up without a fight. Gonzales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
