Basketball Recap: Canon City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Canon City extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 51-32 bruising from the Roosevelt Roughriders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 50-32 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

As for Roosevelt, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 61.5 points this season.

Roosevelt had a senior duo take command as Brody Burke dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards and Jack Cook went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points. Burke is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Heydyn Bahnsen-Price was another key player, putting up ten points.
