Recap: Bullard Panthers vs. Center Roughriders
The Bullard Panthers pushed their score all the way to 33 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 40-33 to Center. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bullard in their matchups with Center: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Bullard still got an impressive performance from Quasy Warren, who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Crew Bowman, who rushed for 27 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Bullard's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Center's QB was sacked three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Trey Martin and his two sacks.
Bullard has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Center, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bullard will challenge Van at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Van will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Brownsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brownsboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Center is ranked 157th).
