Basketball Recap: Plumas Charter Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Plumas Charter can now relate to. They lost to the Biggs Wolverines on the road by a 81-62 margin on Tuesday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Plumas Charter lost, don't look at Dalton Bentz. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten steals. The game was Bentz's ninth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Joseph, who went 8-for-19 en route to 20 points.

Skyler Long continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Biggs, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Long now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Hudson Brewer, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 17 points and five boards.

Plumas Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Biggs, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Plumas Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Biggs, they will challenge Redding Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Redding Christian comes in on 11 and Biggs on three.
