Softball Game Preview: George Wythe Maroons vs. Auburn Eagles

For the second straight game, George Wythe will face off against Auburn. The Maroons will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: George Wythe has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Auburn will arrive with four straight victories.

George Wythe's last matchup with Auburn could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. The Maroons came up short against the Eagles, falling 17-4.

Auburn's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for George Wythe, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
