Football Recap: Globe Tigers vs. Lincoln Prep Lightning

Globe had won two straight games and Corban Bejarano did his part to make it three on Friday. The Tigers came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 37-32 W against the Lincoln Prep Lightning for which the team can thank Bejarano, who rushed for 44 yards and four TDs. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making ten total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Globe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Bejarano led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Despite the defeat, Lincoln Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Connor Mewhinney picked up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Mewhinney didn't just play on offense: he also picked up two sacks and made nine total tackles (2.5 for loss). Lincoln Prep also got a significant boost from Joshua Morris, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 113 yards.

Globe's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Lincoln Prep, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
