Football Recap: Brewer Takes a Loss

Brewer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Old Town Coyotes.

When it comes to explaining why Brewer lost, don't look at Carson Theriault. Despite the final result, he rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns.

Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Old Town, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Brewer will challenge Foxcroft Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ponies' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Witches' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Old Town, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
