Baseball Game Preview: St. Michael's Warriors vs. Antonian Prep Apaches

St. Michael is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Antonian Prep a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The St. Michael's Warriors will be playing at home against the Antonian Prep Apaches at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, St. Michael's came up short against Cornerstone Christian and fell 8-5.

Ben Davis was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Jackson Hamilton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. David Buttross also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Antonian Prep's offense. They lost 6-0 to Canyon Lake on Wednesday.

St. Michael's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Antonian Prep, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.
