Football Recap: Kenston Starts Season with Victory Against Solon

Kenston gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down the Solon Comets 30-13. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Comets are ranked 237th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kenston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Colin Weiland and Kahlil Hinton. Tucker Meeks was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles.

Coming up, Kenston will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Solon, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shaker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
