Baseball Game Preview: Plainville Blue Devils vs. New Britain Golden Hurricanes

The Plainville Blue Devils will challenge the New Britain Golden Hurricanes at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. New Britain took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plainville, who comes in off a win.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, New Britain finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against East Catholic, falling 14-2. The Golden Hurricanes have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Plainville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for New Britain, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
