Two dominant  guards in  Javian Jones and  Jeremy Felix are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The King's Academy Lions just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Centennial Eagles  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. King's Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
King's Academy is headed into the  matchup having just  posted their biggest  victory since January 19, 2024 on Thursday. They blew past Berean Christian 68-33. Given the Lions' advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 179th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 628th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.

 King's Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Honour Mays, who  went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 18  points. The dominant performance gave  Mays a new career-high in points.  Isaiah McCoy was another key player,  putting up eight  points along with 12  rebounds and four  blocks.
Meanwhile,  it may have taken  overtime to finish the job, but Centennial ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Palm Beach Lakes  69-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Eagles have posted  since December 11, 2024.
 King's Academy better keep an eye on  Jayden Prosper. He was instrumental in Centennial's win,  going 8 of 13  en route to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Felix Buroz, who  posted five  points in addition to ten  assists, eight  steals,  and seven  boards.
 King's Academy's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Centennial, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record  this season.
 Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest:  King's Academy has been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 34.6  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 26.7  boards.
