Softball Recap: P.K. Yonge Takes a Loss

P.K. Yonge lost against Buchholz back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. P.K. Yonge came up short against Buchholz, falling 14-8.

P.K. Yonge got a massive performance out of Alison Sanetz, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Corona, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Even though they lost, P.K. Yonge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post 11 or more hits.

P.K. Yonge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Buchholz, they moved to 8-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. P.K. Yonge will host Cedar Key at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buchholz, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Interlachen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buchholz's pitchers better be ready for this one: Interlachen has averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
