After a string of 11 wins dating back to last season, Antioch Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mintz Christian Academy Lions. The loss was the Gators' first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Antioch Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jessa Oxendine. Despite the final result, she went 12 of 24 on her way to 26 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That was a full 70.3% of Antioch Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Antioch Christian Academy fell to 2-1. As for Mintz Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Columbus Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Antioch Christian Academy will head out to face Columbus Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Mintz Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
