Football Recap: Sunray Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sunray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Panhandle Panthers and fell 77-7. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1005th, while the Panthers are ranked 470th).

Zeke Grajeda threw for 166 yards and one touchdown. Dominik Dominguez was his top target, picking up 110 receiving yards and one score.

Sunray's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Panhandle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sunray will challenge rival Sanford-Fritch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Panhandle is set to take on their familiar foe Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
