Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Central Lions vs. Coffee County Central Red Raiders

The Columbia Central Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Coffee County Central Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbia Central has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 3.

Columbia Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Lincoln County 79-74.

Meanwhile, Coffee County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelbyville Central.

Columbia Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Coffee County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Columbia Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Coffee County Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 63-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbia Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
