Basketball Recap: Columbia Adventist Academy Kodiaks vs. Willapa Valley Vikings
Columbia Adventist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 45-27 bruising from the Willapa Valley Vikings. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kodiaks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-21 back in December of 2024.
Willapa Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tylar Keeton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Rilyn Channell, who posted four points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.
Columbia Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Willapa Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Adventist Academy will challenge Washington School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
