Football Game Preview: Dutch Fork Silver Foxes vs. River Bluff Gators + Official Tickets

Dutch Fork is a perfect 10-0 against River Bluff since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Silver Foxes will host the Gators at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

River Bluff will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Dutch Fork extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Silver Foxes took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-0 win over Lexington. Given the Silver Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Wildcats are ranked 47th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jaxon Knotts produced another solid effort rushing for 54 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 262 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Sheldon Shine was another key player, rushing for 72 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times River Bluff and Chapin had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Gators were the clear victors by a 33-7 margin over the Eagles on Friday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Gators had established a 23-point advantage.

Dutch Fork's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for River Bluff, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Dutch Fork against River Bluff when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-14 victory. In that game, the Silver Foxes amassed a halftime lead of 24-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
