Smidt Tech took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology on Tuesday. Smidt Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Smidt Tech had strong showings from Aaron Merlos, who scored 16 points, and Nathan Lopez, who scored 14 points. The contest was Merlos' third in a row with at least ten points.
Smidt Tech bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Smidt Tech will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Animo De La Hoya at 3:30 p.m. Animo De La Hoya comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology, they will take on Triumph Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Triumph Charter is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
