Volleyball Recap: Sheridan Finds Home Court Redemption Against Maysville

There's no place like home for Sheridan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Maysville Panthers 3-0 on Thursday. The Generals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sheridan was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Thomas, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Thomas wasn't the only good servers: Sheridan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. The Generals are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Sheridan's record is now 12-10. As for Maysville, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Sheridan will be taking part in a tournament against Chillicothe at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maysville, they will take on River View in a tournament on Tuesday.
