Soccer Game Preview: North Oconee vs. Eastside

The North Oconee Titans will head out on the road to take on the Eastside Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. North Oconee is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

While North Oconee's win against Habersham Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. North Oconee had just enough and edged out Habersham Central 2-1 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Eastside kept a clean sheet against Madison County on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Red Raiders. The win was familiar territory for Eastside, who have now won three contests in a row.

North Oconee pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

North Oconee beat Eastside 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Does North Oconee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
