Softball Game Preview: Desert Scorpions vs. Bishop Union Broncos

The Desert Scorpions will face off against the Bishop Union Broncos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Desert's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Bishop Union has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Desert will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Kern Valley, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Scorpions came out on top against the Broncs by a score of 11-6 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Scorpions needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Bishop Union lost 15-8 to Rosamond on Friday.

Desert has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Bishop Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Desert came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Union when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Scorpions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
