Preview: Ogallala Indians vs. Holdrege Dusters

Ogallala has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Holdrege Dusters at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Ogallala knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 contests -- so hopefully Holdrege likes a good challenge.

In what's become a running theme this season, Ogallala gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Valentine 77-50 at home. Given Ogallala's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Valentine is ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Holdrege ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ainsworth and snuck past 75-73. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Holdrege has posted yet this season.

Ogallala's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Holdrege, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Ogallala against Holdrege in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 73-46 win. Will Ogallala repeat their success, or does Holdrege have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
