Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for New Riegel

There's no place like home for New Riegel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks on Monday. The Blue Jackets haven't had any issues with the Crimson Streaks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

New Riegel's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, New Riegel and St. Joseph Central Catholic will both be playing St. Mary Central Catholic the next time they take the field. The Crimson Streaks will head out to face the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Blue Jackets will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
