Football Recap: Remington Diehl's Menacing Defense Leads Claysburg-Kimmel over West Branch

Claysburg-Kimmel won the last time they faced West Branch and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs strolled past the Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 45-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Mason Campagna was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 145 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Remington Diehl also helped with two scores in total.

Claysburg-Kimmel didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited West Branch to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Bulldogs hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.41 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Claysburg-Kimmel's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Diehl was the leader with two.

West Branch lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Conner Danko, who threw for 171 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 64 yards and one touchdown. Easton Emigh was another key player, picking up 65 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Claysburg-Kimmel now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
