League recap: Calvary Christian Academy's Scheuer delivers best pitching performance from past week

Bicentennial - Constitution's top pitcher this week was Calvary Christian Academy's Tyler Scheuer. He picked up one win and 17 strikeouts.

Jesse Geisler was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .667 average with three RBIs. The Cougars compiled a record of 2-0 in that time.

Calvary Christian Academy's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 12 hits and one walk to lead the league in both categories.

Even after stealing 27 bases to lead the league over the past week, the Cougars are still looking up at Mast Charter, which ranks No. 1 in steals, with 105 on the year.

Four batters hit over .400 this week. Leading the pack was Jesse Geisler, who hit .667 by going 6-for-9.



The week's strikeout crown belonged to Scheuer, who turned in 17 Ks for Calvary Christian Academy. He's first in the league with 113 total strikeouts.

Scheuer struck out ten in the Cougars' 3-2 win over Plumstead Christian on May 23. He gave up two hits and two runs over five innings of work.
