There's no place like home for Capuchino, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Saturday. They never let the San Mateo Bearcats get on the board and left with  an   11-0  victory  on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Lola Sierra made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI and three  doubles. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Dana Motroni and  Star Gutierrez did most of the damage at the plate:  Motroni  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run, while  Gutierrez  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  stolen bases  Motroni has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Avery Motroni, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  double.
 Capuchino  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are  a perfect 9-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Capuchino's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-6. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for San Mateo, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Capuchino will  square off against  rival Hillsdale  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Mustangs 3.4, the Fighting Knights 2.5) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, San Mateo is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Aragon  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
