Softball Recap: Warhill Takes a Loss

Warhill blew York out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday York got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 10, 2024.

Ellie Jacobs was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keamani Fujimoto, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Warhill's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for York, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warhill will challenge Tabb at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for York, they will face off against Smithfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Packers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
