Basketball Recap: Lake Ridge Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Ridge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Central Christian Comets 79-31. The Royals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-14.

Lake Ridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Central Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Lake Ridge Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bristol at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bristol is on a six-game streak of home wins, Central Christian a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
