Basketball Recap: St. Croix Prep Comes Up Short

If St. Croix Prep was riding high fresh off their 88-53 takedown of Math & Science Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Croix Prep Lions took a blow against the Holy Family Catholic Fire on Friday, falling 78-44. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Croix Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Holy Family Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

St. Croix Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Providence Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Croix Prep is facing Providence Academy at the right time seeing as Providence Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Holy Family Catholic, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Rockford at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Rockford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
