Soccer Recap: Massabesic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Massabesic lost against Westbrook back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs came up short against the Blue Blazes, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Massabesic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Westbrook are ranked 30th).

Massabesic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Westbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Massabesic is set to challenge their familiar foe South Portland at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Westbrook will take on rival Windham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
