Basketball Recap: Moline Comes Up Short

Moline suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 64-40 to the Sterling Golden Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Maroons in their matchups with the Golden Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Moline now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Sterling, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Moline will take on Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sterling, they will be playing at home against Rock Island at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sterling is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Rock Island a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
