Ovilla Christian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. Everything went their way against the Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ovilla Christian took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-8.

Leading Ovilla Christian to victory were Gracie Scott and Jaclyn White. Scott had four digs and four aces, while White had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Scott has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Ovilla Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 25 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive contests.

Ovilla Christian's win bumped their record up to 18-3-1. As for Garland Christian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coming up, Ovilla Christian will challenge Prestonwood Christian North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garland Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alcuin at 7:00 p.m. on October 7.
