Soccer Game Preview: Menendez vs. West Nassau

The Menendez Falcons will square off against the West Nassau Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Menendez is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals back in December of 2024, they were much more limited against Tocoi Creek on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Toros. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Toros are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, West Nassau kept a clean sheet against Yulee back in December of 2024. Everything went their way against the Hornets as they made off with an 8-0 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for West Nassau and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Menendez, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-7.

Menendez was able to grind out a solid win over West Nassau when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 3-1. Does Menendez have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Nassau turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
