Basketball Recap: Christian Home Educators Fellowship Comes Up Short

After flying high against Midstate Homeschool on Thursday, Christian Home Educators Fellowship came back down to earth. The Patriots came up short against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on Monday, falling 70-48. The Patriots were down 61-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool to victory were Ethan Brown and Miles King. Brown almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine assists, while King posted 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Brown's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Thomas, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 13 points and five boards.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shreveport HomeSchool Sports at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Faith Training Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
