Basketball Recap: Cary Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cary lost against Willow Spring back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Imps took a 78-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Storm. While losing is never fun, the Imps can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Storm are ranked 71st).

Loss or not, Cary got some senior leadership from Lee Snider and Chase Cleveland. Snider dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Cleveland went 5-for-12 en route to 20 points. With that strong performance, Snider is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Eugene Gbollie also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

It was another big night for Ryder Randolph, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals for Willow Spring. Randolph is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dillon Robinson, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 17 points and five steals.

Cary has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Willow Spring, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Cary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-59 defeat against Hoggard on the 18th. As for Willow Spring, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-54 win against Green Level on the 16th.
