Basketball Recap: State Line Christian Starts Season with Win at Home

State Line Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Immanuel Baptist Fire by a score of 54-45. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 55-48 victory the Fire walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

State Line Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Baumker out in front who posted 23 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Baumker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Preston Roque, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 14 points.

State Line Christian has already played their next contest, a 68-53 victory against Bethany Christian on the 21st. As for Immanuel Baptist, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-40 win against Faith Baptist on the 21st.
