Softball Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short

Clovis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-3 to the Clovis North Broncos. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Clovis' record now sits at 3-12. As for Clovis North, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clovis will head out to take on Clovis East at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last five games the Timberwolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Clovis North, they are taking a road trip to face off against Central at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight.
