Lockney blew Memphis out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Memphis got their revenge. The Longhorns fell just short of the Cyclones by a score of 21-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Longhorns have suffered since March 14th.

Lockney has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Memphis, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Lockney will square off against Floydada at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Whirlwinds have now posted at least ten runs in their last six games. As for Memphis, they will challenge Wellington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
