Basketball Recap: Mount Airy Comes Up Short

Mount Airy lost against South Stokes back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mount Airy Granite Bears fell 61-51 to the South Stokes Sauras. While losing is never fun, the Granite Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Sauras are ranked 79th).

Mount Airy's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for South Stokes, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

As of now, neither Mount Airy nor South Stokes have any future games scheduled.
