Baseball Recap: New Trier Gets the Win

New Trier won the last time they faced Barrington and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trevians came out on top against the Fillies/Broncos by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trevians.

Greg Campitelli tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Caiden Carpenter was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Perchik, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

New Trier's record now sits at 12-4-1. As for Barrington, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4-1.

Coming up, New Trier will head out on the road to square off against Evanston at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Barrington, they will be playing at home against Palatine at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
