Recap: Bangor Rams vs. Noble Knights
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-13, which was the final score in Bangor's's tilt against Noble on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Noble to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamier Rose, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 185 yards and a touchdown. Kaden Dustin also helped out with an impressive 126 receiving yards.
Bangor's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 5-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-3 Thornton Academy and 6-3 Cony (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.3% over those games). As for Noble, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Bangor will be playing at home against Oxford Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oxford Hills is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Noble, they will head out on the road to face off against Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sanford is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
