Basketball Recap: Johnny Fields' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Patagonia over Baboquivari

If Patagonia was feeling good fresh off their 65-40 takedown of Andrada Polytechnic last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patagonia Lobos lost to the Baboquivari Warriors at home by a 58-40 margin on Friday. The Lobos have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Patagonia lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Johnny Fields, who posted eight points. Fields has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Diego Carranza, who went 5 of 12 en route to 10 points and five boards.

Patagonia's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Baboquivari, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.
