Van Meter (Iowa) snapped the seven-game winning streak of
Ogden (Iowa), with a 21-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Brandon Brittain in the first quarter, the Bulldogs were up 7-0 at the half.
Van Meter expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. VM's lone score in the quarter came on a Brittain touchdown pass to
Grant Hoppes.
With the win the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to 12 games. Van Meter defeated Mt. Ayr 34-14 last week.
Van Meter went into the matchup giving up only 9.3 points per game.
The loss comes after Ogden defeated St. Albert 12-10 last week.
