Softball Recap: Eastern Greene Takes a Loss

The matchup between Eastern Greene and Bloomington North on Monday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Thunderbirds lost 15-5 to the Cougars. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.

Eastern Greene saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Ramey, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Ashlynn Bellman was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Eastern Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bloomington North, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Eastern Greene is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Brown County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomington North, they will welcome Shelbyville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
