Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Gets the Win

Eldorado's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Rio Grande Ravens. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won five in a row.

Eldorado was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-10.

When it comes to explaining why Rio Grande lost, don't look at Mercedes Valenzuela. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

The win got Eldorado back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eldorado will venture away from home to square off against Albuquerque Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Rio Grande, they will head out to challenge Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
